Privacy Policy

The short version
This site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and which aren’t. It sets cookies to do that.
The contact form is the only place you give me information directly: your name, email, and whatever you choose to write.
I don’t sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
Who’s responsible for your information
Measure & Method LLC, based in Pennsylvania, runs this website. I’m Laura Amy, the founder, and I’m the only person who reads what comes in. You can reach me at laura@measureandmethod.com.
This policy covers measureandmethod.com. It doesn’t cover sites I link to, like LinkedIn, which have their own policies.
What I collect
What you send me. The contact form asks for your name and email address, plus [company and website, if your form asks for them], and whatever you write in the message. I use it only to reply to you.
What’s collected automatically. Like most websites, this one records basic technical information when you visit, such as your browser, device type, the pages you view, and roughly where you’re visiting from. This comes from two sources:
Google Analytics shows me how people find and use the site: which pages get visited, how long people stay, and where they came from. It uses cookies to tell one visit from another. I use these reports in aggregate to improve the site, not to identify or follow individuals.
Squarespace, which hosts the site, sets cookies it needs to run the site and keep it secure, and it keeps standard server logs.
Cookies
This site uses cookies from Google Analytics and Squarespace. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s official Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to stop Google Analytics from recording your visits on any site.
There’s no advertising pixel on this site, such as Meta or LinkedIn tracking, and I don’t use your data for ad targeting.
How I use your information & who else handles it
I use it to reply to you, scope an audit or project if you ask for one, and keep the conversation going. That’s the whole list. I won’t add you to a mailing list you didn’t sign up for.
Three services handle data on my behalf, each under its own privacy policy:
Squarespace hosts the site and processes the contact form. Form submissions are stored in my Squarespace account and sent to my inbox. (Squarespace Privacy Policy)
Google Analytics provides site usage reports. (Google Privacy Policy)
Google Workspace provides my business email, so your message sits in my inbox like any other email.
Beyond these, I only disclose information if the law requires it.
How long I keep it
I keep your messages while we’re in conversation or working together, and for a reasonable period afterward for my business records. You can ask me to delete them at any time.
Children
This site is for businesses and isn’t directed at anyone under 16. If you think a child has submitted information through the form, let me know and I’ll delete it.
Changes to this privacy policy
If the way this site collects data changes, for example a new tool or form provider, I’ll update this page before the change goes live. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
